Item Description

"Organic Three-Year Bancha" is an everyday tea made by carefully aging harvested tea leaves and stems for three years and then roasting them over an open flame to give them a fragrant aroma.

With very little caffeine, it is safe for everyone from children to the elderly. It is also perfect for relaxing in the evening or for making in advance.

This product uses organic JAS-certified tea leaves that are grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, making it a recommended choice for those who care about their family's health.

Furthermore, this Sannen Bancha tea has been loved for many years in the macrobiotic diet.

In terms of the balance of yin and yang, aging the tea for three years softens the "yin" of the tea leaves, making it a drink closer to the "golden mean" that does not cool the body.

For this reason, it is a popular tea to drink on a daily basis, and is believed to aid digestion and gently warm the body from the inside.

About Happi Mukojimaen

Happii Mukojimaen was founded in 1982. For over 40 years, they have been producing tea using organic farming methods in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City.

At a time when the use of pesticides was still commonplace, the previous owner chose to completely reject pesticides and chemical fertilizers, choosing instead to go the path of trial and error, saying, "I want to produce tea that is truly good for people and nature." At first, the tea plants weakened and harvests declined over the years, but learning from traditional seedling and sparse planting cultivation, the previous owner spent 15 years perfecting his unique "single-stem" farming method.

Tea plants grown in this way have thicker trunks, deeper roots, and are healthier and more resistant to pests and diseases. As a result, tea leaves full of vitality are produced that do not require the use of pesticides.

Currently, the second generation owner, Kazuto Mukojima, inherits the philosophy of "Seitaisei" (respecting tea as a living organism). With an integrated system of own orchard, own production, and own sales, the company continues to maintain the safety and quality of its products, which have been certified organic by the JAS.

This approach has been highly praised not only in Japan but also in the organic markets of Europe and the United States, and has been featured at international exhibitions and in specialist magazines. Sannen Bancha is loved by people who practice macrobiotics and natural foods, and has now become a product that is attracting attention all over the world.

Cherishing coexistence with nature, each tea leaf holds a story of life. Happi Mukojimaen's tea is a genuine cup of tea, backed by this sincere attitude and international acclaim.
