Job's barley has long been known as a grain that keeps the skin healthy, and has been treasured in Eastern food culture and traditional Chinese medicine.
It is rich in protein, amino acids, B vitamins, and dietary fiber, and its balanced nutrition has earned it the nickname "king of grains." In Japan, it has long been popular among health-conscious people and has been an indispensable part of their daily diet.

Taiyo Foods was founded in 1957 by its founder, Yasuo Sasaoka, based on his belief that "food nourishes the body and mind."
After graduating from university, he was employed at a pharmaceutical manufacturer where he first encountered the world of traditional Chinese medicine, and was fascinated by it. He decided to bet his life on its potential and unknown power. Utilizing his knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, he conducted extensive research on Job's Wheat and fermented foods, and in 1974, "Job's Wheat Enzyme" was born.
Job's tears is a grain in the grass family that has been cherished since ancient times, sometimes called the "skin-clearing grain." This name does not simply refer to one of its effects, but is also proof that throughout history it has been revered as a plant that "maintains healthy skin and supports beauty and health."
For over 60 years since then, Taiyo Foods has continued to make progress without stopping, adhering to the principle of "manufacturing products that are close to nature and people." In their fields in Toyama, they cultivate over 40,000 square meters of organic Job's tears fields, and grow each grain with care, listening to the voice of the earth as it changes with the seasons.
Currently, the third generation inherits this vision. With the founder's beliefs in mind, we continue to research and improve our products to address the new health challenges faced by modern people - intestinal disorders, lifestyle-related diseases, and health problems caused by a stressful society.
Rather than simply preserving tradition, the company is committed to modern fermentation techniques, organic farming practices, and efforts to increase transparency in the manufacturing process, ensuring that "safe food" is passed on to the next generation.
Fermented over time, it is delivered in its natural state with sincerity. Each cup is the embodiment of the passion that has been passed down from the founder to the second and third generations. From the past to the future, Taiyo Foods will continue to move forward with its mission of "protecting people's health."
