This is a high-quality, flavorful, authentic shochu brewed using "Nishino Chikara" two-row barley grown without pesticides and the famous water from the local Takeda area.
The label says "handmade," but this label is only allowed for sake that has been steamed in traditional wooden barrels, carefully made using koji lids, and distilled in a single pot.
You can enjoy the aroma of two-row barley and its mellow, deep flavor.

Founded in 1929, this is a long-established shochu brewery with 95 years of history. Chitose Town is located in the southwestern part of Oita Prefecture, surrounded by abundant nature.
Since our founding in this area, we have continued to preserve the handcrafted shochu we make using techniques that have been passed down through the generations.
As the brewer himself says, "We are sticking to the old ways in every aspect," the entire process, from the painstaking production of koji using traditional steaming vessels and koji covers, to labeling, is done by hand.
Handmade sake is common, but hand-made shochu is extremely rare, with only two or three breweries in Oita Prefecture.
The barley shochu, which has been refined with great care by the brewers, brings out the natural flavor, aroma, and taste of the barley.
Please enjoy the flavors brewed by the local climate and traditions.
