This product was created with the philosophy of "making good things that are useful to the world" since the company was founded in 1975.
We make thread, fabric, and products together with artisans who continue to create products using natural fibers.
Using the only spinning machines that have been passed down in Japan, we continue to produce environmentally friendly products, taking more than 100 times the time and effort required for mass production.
How is it possible to remove oil stains using only water even though the fabric is 100% cotton?
The secret lies in how the thread is spun.
Below is a close-up comparison of fibers spun using conventional spinning methods (left) and the fibers of this product (right).

When you look at the fibers of this product under a microscope,
The extremely fine fibers float softly and fluffy.

This air gap is also an important point.
The fibers, which contain plenty of air, gently absorb water and oil, entangling them with their fine fibers.

This product is less likely to trap food debris than a urethane sponge, and because it is made from 100% cotton, it can be sterilized by boiling, making it hygienic.

"Organic cotton" generally refers to cotton grown on farmland that has not used pesticides for the past three years.
This product meets even higher standards and is made from 100% cotton grown on farmland where pesticides have never been used in the past.
"The use of pesticides damages the soil.
Using fertilizer attracts insects and you have to use pesticides again.
If pesticides are not used, large cotton plants can be grown, and microorganisms can also grow in the soil.
"This is the belief held by the villagers.

(An actual cotton field)
Using a spinning machine that was invented during the Meiji period and has been passed down through the generations, the yarn is spun slowly and manually, taking more than 100 times longer than modern mass-production spinning.
This slowly spun yarn produces fibres that are full of air, which is the key to their ability to absorb water and oil.

(Spinning process)
For general cotton products, even those labeled as organic cotton, some chemicals are used as part of the manufacturing process to condition the surface of the fibers and fabric.
However, this product does not contain any chemicals or other drugs.
In order to preserve the texture of the cotton itself and reduce the environmental impact, we have devised manufacturing methods that do not use chemicals such as boiling, thereby maintaining quality.

(Part of the manufacturing process)
All of these products are sewn domestically.
Although it looks like simple sewing, it is actually different from normal sewing.
The fabric used for this product has a loose weave, meaning it can easily unravel and cannot be re-sewn.
Each product is handcrafted by a skilled seamstress with 40 years of experience.

(Sewing process)
By accumulating these individual details, it takes more than 100 times longer than mass production.
We deliver natural, water-based cotton towels that are gentle on the skin and the environment, as they are made from the fluff itself.
Generally, cotton that is mass-produced can only be made into thread and fabric from fibers (mainly long fibers) that can withstand the high-speed machines.
Cotton that cannot be spun successfully is discarded.
On the other hand, the yarn used in this product is made slowly and carefully.
Fibers (mainly short fibers) that would be discarded in mass production can be spun softly, so no cotton is wasted.
We are also committed to reducing waste at the sewing stage.
Calculate from the width of the fabric and adjust in 5mm increments.
We developed this product through repeated experiments to ensure that the size and shape do not produce any scraps, and that it is easy to use for both men and women with different hand sizes, quick to dry, and comfortable.
Reducing material waste is not only environmentally friendly,
We want to lower the price so that our customers can easily purchase our products and continue to use them in their daily lives.
And we want to deliver it as a product that many people can pick up.
At first glance, it may just look like fabric...
We would like to put our time and effort into delivering this product so that it can be used by many people in a variety of situations.
