We are a Japanese couple in our 50s (my husband will turn 60 in 2025).
In May 2023, I returned to Japan from Taipei, where I had lived for 13 years.
In Taiwan, the husband ran a restaurant and the wife ran a beauty salon.
While running a company, I started YouTube as a hobby in 2019.
At the end of 2019, due to the stress of living abroad for many years, I developed a serious autoimmune disease (palmoplantar pustulosis).
I tried all the treatments that were said to be effective, such as tonsillectomy and biologic injections, but nothing worked. In the end, I gave up all hospital treatment and medication and made the decision to improve my basic lifestyle habits, such as diet, sleep, and exercise, and to close the company that was the source of my stress, and I put my disease into remission on my own.
I also successfully lost weight, dropping my weight from a peak of 67 kg to 49 kg.
He began full-scale activities as a YouTuber in May 2021.
In February 2023, after my beloved cat of 22 years passed away, I finally decided to return to Japan.
After returning to Japan, the couple started a company
I opened a small e-commerce shop called Shoukakkou Shoten .
This small shop is made up of items that my husband and I personally select and think are good for real use, and we have collected only the items that we believe are "wonderful Japanese products" based on our own personal opinions and prejudices.
It is currently a 52-year-old small apartment complex of 48 square meters.
As a couple, we work together doing the jobs we love and living surrounded by only the things we love.
My life here is a complete departure from my life in Taipei, and I aim to live a sustainable and stress-free life with the motto of being free, true to myself, and natural.
We will continue to spread our ideas about how to live a more earth-friendly and environmentally friendly lifestyle and about safe and secure food both in Japan and overseas, so please support us!
